Our Story
Welcome to Iron Oak Farm!
We’re so glad you found us. If you’re looking for real food, local craftsmanship, and a pair of farmers who are utterly obsessed with what they do, you’re in the right place.
Iron Oak Farm is our labor of love, where we produce a little bit of everything: ethically raised meat, crisp vegetables, sun-ripened fruit, raw honey, and unique handmade crafts. We believe in keeping things close to home, which is why everything we sell is either grown right here or sourced from talented creators right in our local community.
Still Learning, Growing, & Sharing
Here’s the honest truth: we are completely new to farming! Every day is a school day out here, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our skills and manage this land better. We know we don't have it all figured out yet.
Because we’re still finding our footing, we genuinely value constructive criticism. If you see us doing something and think, "Hey, there's a better way to do that," please speak up! We welcome advice and offers from anyone who has the patience to teach us a thing or two. In return, we are always more than happy to share what we have mastered so far—whether that's swapping permaculture ideas or sharing smoking tips.
Meet Tony: The Soil, Smoke, & Trees Guy
If you can’t find Tony, he’s probably staring lovingly at a tree or tinkering with a permaculture design. He is the mastermind behind our sustainable ecosystems, mapping out how our plants, animals, and soil can all thrive together.
But when the sun starts to set, Tony’s true passion comes alive: smoke and fire. He is our resident barbecue fanatic and master of smoking products. There is nothing he loves more than taking our own home-raised meats or locally sourced wild game, firing up the grill, and turning it into a culinary masterpiece.
Meet Becky: Respect, Care, & Craftsmanship
Becky is the heart and backbone of our livestock operation. For us, raising animals isn't just a business; it’s a deep responsibility. Because we invest so much love, time, and care into every animal on the farm, Becky made a profound decision: she retrained as a certified slaughter person and butcher.
It’s not a conventional path, but for Becky, it was the only way to ensure absolute respect and transparency from birth to butcher block. By handling the end of the journey herself, she guarantees our animals are treated with the utmost dignity, and that we know exactly how the food on your plate was handled every single step of the way.
What You’ll Find at Iron Oak:

We put our hands, hearts, and a healthy dose of smoke into everything we do. Thank you for supporting our journey, helping us learn, and choosing to eat, buy, and live local!
